My reverse camera now works perfectly and the display for the parking sensors is much better than the stock setup, shows you sensor distance. Should have brought this way sooner! Frustrating to get there *by M***N on 9 July 2026* I fitted this to my Skoda Octavia 2009. The radio is really good but it was very frustrating working out the problems and issues it brought along. On my car I have to disconnect the battery to restart the radio to see changes I made because pressing the reset button didn't do this. I didn't know this from the start so trying to work out why nothing was changing was frustrating. Trying to get it to recognise the sim card I added requires a restart so that was fun trying to work out why it wasn't working. Again pull the battery cable to make it work. The instructions to fit this don't exist so I used Gemini ai to help out which only goes so far. The canbus didn't work to begin with. I had to change the type on factory settings. Type 2 and 3 worked but 0 and 1 did nothing. I added dab+ and a camera and it all works well. But the glass aerial was poor. I changed the roof aerial for a dab+ one and it fixed all that. The internal microphone isn't any good either as it pics up everything instead of just voice so I had to use an external microphone mounted on the a pillar. I really like it otherwise and it's modernised my car so much.
