    Sexy emotional read!!!

*by K***R on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on October 18, 2013*

Colton "Colt" Michaels is deep in the closet. He's the star quarterback for the University of Texas (UT) Longhorns and is set to be the #1 draft pick to go pro after his final year of college. His father controls him and has Colt's life path set for him. Colt loves playing football and his goal is to go pro as well but one of his other dreams is to finally be with the man of his dreams which would not be welcomed news for Colt's father. Ever since Colt laid eyes on a smiling Jace Montogomery he was hooked.Jace Montogomery is a male cheerleader for the UT Longhorns and has admired Colt from afar for years now. Jace is an openly gay man and proud of it. He doesn't hide who he is and usually just goes with whatever is happening. One unexpected moment in the UT locker room changes things for Jace and Colt. Colt literally surprises Jace by giving him the banging of his life. From there things move at a fast pace for these two. Colt confesses to his secret admiration for Jace for years and invites him to spend Spring Break in Hawaii with him. Five days these two spent in paradise and fell head over heels in love. Promises of forever were made and two people who never expected to find the forever kind of love are hopeful when they leave paradise. Once back home things go bad for these two and a ten years will pass before they meet again.First off I really love that the first half of this book took place in my city, Austin! I was giddy and smiling reading and knowing all the places mentioned. Being a Texas Longhorn football fan I had to chuckle because Colton Michaels name sounded very similar to a certain former Longhorn quarterback. I kept picturing him in my head for a second there! :) I digress back to the book. This book opens with a bang literally. Colt is giving some good loving to Jace in the locker room. With this opening I knew I was going to enjoy this book.I adore Colt's character. When he decided to go for Jace, that boy didn't hold back. He let it all hang with his confessions about how he'd been crazy for Jace since he first saw him across the field cheering years ago. Kindle you are a genius when you can get me to think Colts little stalking habits of knowing every little thing about Jace was endearing and sweet instead of creepy! I found myself going ahhhhh...how cute instead of what the hell how do you know all that about me? Heh. And OMG Colt would say the sweetest things. Even when they were dirty it was sweet. Now Jace..oh Jace. I could relate more to Jace's character. His skepticism at first with whether Colt was really feeling him is what I'd expect most normal people to have when someone you think you'd never have, actually wants you. Jace was the more level headed of the two. His heartbreak was my heartbreak. I loved his determination and I loved how his heart is so big. He could have made Colt's life hell at the end if he wanted too but he didn't.The years that the characters in this book spent apart was hard to watch. You knew the love was still there but for Colt too many bad people in his life and his years of numbing the pain with alcohol, drugs and sex was another obstacle in front of him. There was a moment in this book that just made me fall deeper for Colt. He was watching the ESPN coverage of Jace and I could literally taste his longing for Jace on my tongue. It was that strong and that moment was that poignant.Five days is usually not enough to make me believe that two people could fall so in love but the author managed to do that. By the end of the 5 days trip that these two took, I was already making wedding plans for them in my head and on board thinking this would be forever for them! So when what happened, happened I was just as heartbroken for both of them. But I still believe in their love and could believe very believably why these two couldn't forget each other and why that love was still there when they finally meet again. There are some really bad characters in this book. Colt's dad is a piece of dog doo-doo. I swear I wanted to reach in and strangle him myself. I won't go into the other bad characters but there was a lot of people NOT rooting for these two.I easily fell into this story and fell in love with the both Colt and Jace. Kindle gave the readers a pretty solid story of two men who fell quickly and hopelessly in love and had to struggle and find their way back to one another. This is my first book by Kindle Alexander but it won't be my last book by her. I can't wait for Mitch's story. He was definitely a character that had my attention by the end of the book. She definitely has a new fan in me. If you like reading M/M romances with two sexy male leads who will do anything for each other, pretty solid storyline, lots of sweet words of loving, smoking hot sex and a dash of mystery/suspense then this is the book for you.See review on my blog: [...]

    Super Sweet Second Chance Story!

*by K***E on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on May 10, 2023*

Great read, good characters - I loved the character of Jace. Medium spice, medium angst. I thought Jace forgave him a little too quickly, but overall the story was good.

    Great series!!!

*by W***D on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on January 18, 2016*

I want to begin by telling you, straight-out, I love Kindle Alexander’s work. She wrote one of the first m/m books I’ve read (Always), and is probably guilty of getting me hooked on the sub-genre. Confession done. The Nice Guys series is beautiful in every way. The MCs are hot. Their souls might be dirty, but they’re deep in sweetness, too. The relationships are true to the core. The sex is off the charts! Humor is found in spades, and there are also tear-worthy parts. The secondary characters are dimensional. There is a storyline that runs throughout all three books, but each one is a complete story, with an HEA. Though you can enter the series at any book, for your enjoyment, start at the beginning. Alexander does a great job of summarizing the important parts of previous books without it feeling like a summary,so you won’t be lost, but because once you read one, you’ll want to read the others, just save yourself the quandary and start at book one, Double Full.Double Full is the story of Colton, the football player and Jace, the cheerleader. They meet in college, the tension builds, they have a wonderful time together, and then Colton blows the whole thing. As angry as I was at him, I also understood the dilemma he was in; coming out is hard to do when you’re going into professional ball, now, and it was a zillion times worse then. Plus, families… yeah, the story goes there. Colton messes up his life in nearly every way, while Jace builds a successful one for himself, at least health-wise and professionally, not really relationship-wise. The MCs meet up and have to work through a lot of baggage, past and present. And, there’s evil lurking, enough that it almost makes the HEA not happen, and it’s that evil, and the investigation to stop it, that unites all three books, and gives us each book’s MCs.Mitch, a bad-boy Deputy US Marshall, has pledged to find out who’s responsible for the terror we encounter in the first book, and he’s doing just that in Full Disclosure. He saunters up to Cody, a closeted, clean-cut, Texas State Trooper. Cody is attracted as hell to Mitch, and is just as determined to not to go with him. Obviously, they do get together, and it’s explosive. Warmhearted. Tension filled. The evil is still there, it’s infiltrated everywhere, causing doubt about whom to trust, and it again threatens to destroy the chance these two MCs have at their HEA. Jace and Colton show up in this sequel, and their relationship with Mitch is both funny and tender. We are introduced to the MCs for book three.Mitch’s tech-hacking friend, Aaron, and partner, Kreed, are the two MCs of the last book in the series, Full Domain. They are instantly attracted to one another, and instantly wary at the same time. Each can see into the other’s soul and each knows that he won’t be able to keep his carefully constructed emotional boundaries and protected personal histories up if he lets the other in, literally and figuratively. So they fight their attraction, they stay professional, temporary partners, until they can’t fight it anymore. Watch out! A side note, at one point in the book, I wondered how these guys could maintain their physiques without ever working out. Sure enough, a bit further on, that is alluded to. Perfect. Even once the evil of the first two books is taken down, the story doesn’t end, because the secrets that both Aaron and Kreed have been keeping still have to be dealt with, if they can be. Mitch, Cody, Colton, and Jace are all present in this last installment as solid secondary characters.I love this series! I love all the characters! I love each HEA. I think you will, too. The sex is detailed, so if you shy away from erotica, this is not for you. It’s m/m, so similar warning. And Mitch, well, he can be a bit vulgar, as can his T-shirts, so just be prepared. If you want a story that has a plot line separate from the relationships, but where the relationships are beautiful, deep, and passionate, then this is for you. This is a strong four and a half stars out of five series.Review can be found at: https://whateverthewomanwantstoread.wordpress.com/2016/01/17/nice-guys-series-double-full-full-disclosure-full-domain/
