Just in case. I go by the mantra, “better safe than sorry”. You wouldn’t want your little friend to get sick. **Q: Is it reusable?** A: For decoration, yes. If used for an animal, I would not recommend re-using as it can be soiled without noticeable smell. With that said, you get a very large portion for the price so even if you do have to throw it out, it’s still a great price for the amount you get. **Q: My bag was slightly open, is it still safe/fresh?** A: You would have to contact the manufacturer On this topic. I don’t have enough information to give, as mine was closed. **Q: Do I need to sterilize it?** A: I don’t think so, I’ve been using this for my hammos for months.
