It's very sturdy and folds down to just the platform and wheels. Great little product. I used bungee cords to secure the crate to the cart. It works very well and it lightweight and small enough to then fold easily into the suitcase and access on the other side of the flight. I don't love the handle's lack of stability, but with my bungee cords in place I was able to keep the handle from moving so much. That's my only complaint. Otherwise, a great little cart.
