Features I like and use are brew strength, cleaning function, and the timer setting on the warming plate- which brings me to the 4 stars: I don’t know if it’s just my unit, but the plate runs so hot that after just 30 minutes, the coffee started tasting a little scorched. That’s not a deal breaker for me since I have a stainless carafe, but if you want to use the warmer, that’s a consideration. Otherwise, it makes really good coffee for an auto-drip. Some reviews complained about how the water goes in. I do have to pull it out from the wall and open the cabinet door above it, but that’s where I store all my coffee paraphernalia anyway, so not a big deal to me. Besides, I’m old enough to remember when the first Mr Coffees came out and between those first models and percolators, it’s something I’m used to doing since they all filled from the top. Cleaning: when I first got the coffee maker, the first few batches tasted appliance-y, so I had to do a cleaning cycle off the bat. That fixed the issue, so you might need to do that as well. The glass carafe, basket, and rest of unit are easy to clean. I just wipe down the inside of the lid and the shower head with a paper towel between cleaning/descaling cycles, and the unit looks like new. I had purchased one years ago for my work and we used it every day multiple times a day for multiple pots for years!!! So I decided this is definitely the coffee maker for me, and I bought one for my house. Its brews quickly and hot. Its a 12 cup Coffee maker and has many functions. It can be a little noisy because it does push water through faster than other coffee makers which is why I believe it brews faster than most. As far a durability, I would say this is a very durable coffee maker because as far as I know that coffee maker at my old work place is still working lol.
