I wanted to preserve most of them, but have a bit out for easy access. These bags worked perfect for storing the extra until needed. I’m very pleased with the Mylar thickness, plenty durable for shelf storage or even on the go. The design of the MRE bags is nice, as the wide opening makes filling or using them a breeze. The zipper closure works great and makes a good seal. For the longer term storage quantities, I used my clothes iron to seal up the tops.
