If you have a salon gel mani then you should go to the salon to have it removed. There are at home tricks but you need to be careful not to mess up your nails **Q: Can you use it over a french manicure? Will it prevent yellowing?** A: Yes, you most definitely use it over any color. I have used it over french manicures, reds, neutrals, etc. and I've never experienced any yellowing with my nail color. One thing I can say, is it definitely works better with other Essie nail polishes...absolutely no chipping! However, it still prevents major chipping with other brands and prolongs the nail color. **Q: I prefer clear polish. Can this be used by itself or with only a base coat?** A: I do not see why you could not use it by itself. Even with letting my nails relax for a week between sets I have ridges and dips in my soft, flimsy nails, so no press ons for a while but I still want to paint my nails, obv. Quick google and here I am, looking for ridge filler. I don’t love Essie polish in general (I hate the brush, it’s just too thin and I literally am just now realizing I could use an old brush from a bottle I liked. Anyway—) but I decided to give it a try, and it definitely works. My nails, especially my thumbs, are puckered from the press ons pulling on them and I was able to get a very smooth set done. My fingers only took one coat but my thumbs are a mess so I did two, and they looked great.
