**Q: how long to roast?**
A: I normally preheat the coffee roaster on a low flame for a couple of minutes, then I add my beans. I keep swirling the beans over the heat without actually setting the coffee roaster directly on the burner. I will swirl beans to the left for one minute and then swirl to the right for one minute alternately keeping the beans in constant motion so they do not burn. I will keep doing that for about 10 to 12 minutes until I hear the coffee beans start popping. You’ll be able to see the color of the beans changing from greenish to a dark brown. You’ll just have to experiment to see which roasting time is the best for you. But for me, 10 to 12 minutes usually results in a dark roasted coffee bean. Hope this helps.

A: It is a glazed ceramic and it says it is made in Korea.

**Q: What heat source does this use?**
A: You can do it over your stove top. Mine is gas , you can use a portable butane as well. Any stove top works but you have to shake it, you don’t just set it on the flame, and it is imperative to preheat before putting the beans in.
