## Overview

The Exo Terra Solar Glo 80W lamp is a mercury vapor full-spectrum bulb designed specifically for reptile terrariums. It delivers a balanced mix of UVA, UVB, visible, and infrared light to simulate natural sunlight, promoting optimal calcium metabolism, vibrant coloration, and active behavior. With 650 lumens brightness and an effective UVB range extending beyond 30 cm, it’s the professional breeder’s choice for reliable reptile health and vitality.

## Description

The Exo Terra Solar Glo is a selfballasted mecury vapour reptile bulb that provides the benefits of natural sunlight, which is one of the most important aspects in keeping reptiles healthy. The Solar Glo is the choice of professional breeders as it provides the proper balance of ultraviolet light (including UVA and UVB), visual light and infrafred light (heat), in one easy-to-install bulb. It is a full spectrum light with carefully tuned peaks to ensure appetite, activity, brilliant colours, and optimal calcium absorption through vitamin D3 production.

Review: Reliable Bulbs - The bulbs are working as they should and my turtles are getting the UV and heat they need. From my experience, this is a reliable brand. I've had some trouble with previous sellers on desertcart not sending the bulbs and having to get reimbursed. No issues with this seller.
Review: Exo Terra bulbs are the Way to Go! - Perfect for my Hermit Crabs! I have an Exo -Terra 36 x 24 x 18 terrarium and use on on either side... my crabs are out and about during the day as well as night and they are far more active with these bulbs... because these are mercury bulbs, they can turn off then on again if you bump them while on. That is normal. I do not turn them on until they are in position and ready for the day and have no issues with them flickering on and off during day. I turn them off at night before moving them to set up my Exo Terra Night Bulb and Flukers ceramic heat bulb. Love these lights!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What kind of uva and uvb are produced from 7" away?**
A: There is different watt for the heat and I think the uva is standard for all. Depends on height. Don't but though they burn out or pop fast. This one did and burned up my lamp set.

**Q: Is this good for juvenile bearded dragons?**
A: These are full spectrum bulbs that provide both UVA and UVB wavelengths; however, you should look up the optimal spectrum intensities for your species of choice and buy the bulb with the output that best matches those requirements.

**Q: Plz help! Good for beardie in a 48" long terrarium?**
A: use a thermometer in basking area to know where to set the distance of the bulb. Any of the solar glos are good just know the distance to have the right temperature in the basking area.

**Q: Is this bulb bad for their eyes?**
A: They are bright, most animals including us will not stare into bright light for to long. The bulb is very healthy for every part of an animals body and as far as reflective light to the eye ,these bulbs are completely safe . The bulbs have been tested to be okay. You can google exo terra and look up info. Do not put to close and always aim the bulb in a downward position on animal never pointing up into face. when using follow directions and mimic the sun, always shining down. Last , if there is a reason your asking is this bulb to bright. because if theres a possible issue with specimen . You must use your own discretion. Great bulbs

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exo Terra bulbs are the Way to Go!

### ⭐ Not a good quality bulb AND not an actual mercury bulb.
*by N***L on November 3, 2023*

DO NOT BUY THESE IF YOU NEED AN ACTUAL MERCURY UVB BULB! I purchased these about a year ago as extra bulbs once the one at the time would need to be changed.. I swapped them on August 23rd this year and this morning on November 3rd it was flickering once every 10 seconds... that is NOT your typical mercury bulb... mercury bulbs instantly break 70% of the time if they even flicker from a power surge. So now I have no idea if my lizard has been getting the correct lights she needs for the past 3 months. Not trusting this seller or brand again.
