Paired this with the L50 amp - all my iem's/cans sound great. I like to game with my iem's instead of a headset and use a stand alone mic if I need comms. I'll grab the planars for music mostly streaming Tidal HiFi (not a fan of mqa). I listen to everything besides techno. Makes me feel like I need to commit a crime when I hear that kind of music. Everything I've thrown at it sounds great. Like A-/B+ tier imo especially when you include the price. I really like brass jazz - Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, Thelonious Monk, etc., but you can bump Wu-Tang or go hard with Sevendust and it all sounds great. I bought this along with the L50 amp and Eris 3.5 speakers and sub to plug into my PC. The DAC is powered by USB from the PC. No need to plug in a power brick, but you can if you need to (not included 5v standard plug). Everything was plug and play very easy to install. I like this combo because the Eris speakers/sub use the trs connections and I have everything passing thru the DAC/amp/speakers/sub with tps cables. Looks very clean and I'll prolly never have to update my desktop sound setup ever again. Highly recommend this combo. I gave this 5 stars, but it's not perfect. You can't lose the remote or you can't really use the dac. Things like volume control are only on the remote. Weird, but minor when you factor in the price again. I wish there was a way to display kHz instead of just on power on - another minor complaint. I'm sure there are a couple other very minor things I'm forgetting, but honestly they are trivial concerns for the quality/price.
