Review: Very effective! Quickly mellows anxiety, irritability - GABA Calm works well for me. I do not use it every day, but typically rely upon it to help me wind down after a fun-filled day of stress when I'm forced to drive in crazy traffic on one of the more dangerous highways in the Western U.S., be on time to appointments, work with and for people who are impossible to please and stop by a crowded grocery store before making the long commute home on the same dangerous highway (typically after dark, which makes for a more nerve-wracking experience). After a day like this, no matter how physically and emotionally exhausted I may feel, it takes at least three hours for me to "wind down" enough to even think about falling asleep. This is often less than optimal, particularly when I arrive home at 11 PM and am expected to be showered, wide awake and fully functional by 8 AM. After days like I've described, six hours or less of sleep is simply not enough recovery time. I'm ragged, weary and occasionally even surly all day. Using GABA Calm cuts my "wind down time" to half or a third of this average. Because it is made for sub-lingual use, it works quite rapidly. I've taken to carrying a few in a pill fob as "back up", so I can put one under my tongue about 30 minutes before arriving back at the farm and already be starting to "chill" as I park. In my friend's case, a full-spectrum B-vitamin supplement plus vitamin D and Calcium are added to the mix. We've both noticed it improves feelings of well-being that seem to stick around the next day. GABA Calm works. It is a good value and a terrific product.

It also contains Glycine which is an amino acid and stimulant as well as depressant... with a ton of purposes which include: boosting mental performance and memory boosting energy levels and fighting fatigue fighting the effects of stress and anxiety and like GABA..improving sleep quality. In fact.. due to its role in both nerve and neurotransmitter functions, Glycine works with other amino acids, including taurine and GABA, as an inhibitory neurotransmitter. ---and what do you think are all the ingredients in this product?? ;) I learned a while back to supplement GABA with taurine to be more effective, and one side effect with regularly taking taurine now is I have retained muscle easily and with little effort (Taurine is known to be used with body building and yes, it is popular in energy drinks). Glycine also strengthens the body. This amino acid is essential for many different muscle, cognitive and metabolic functions. In regards to improving sleep, It helps calm anxiety or nervousness that keeps you up at night and gets in the way of getting good sleep — plus it helps directly bring nutrients to cells and tissue for energy at all times of the day. Nervous system/brain stuff is kind of complicated, but basically it helps break nutrients down so it can be used by cells for energy, which in the process supports strong immune, digestive and nervous systems. This is why using during the day helps with daytime stuff...as well as affecting improving better sleep later on. Mind you the amount of L-Tyrosine and Glycine are small and not the full dose that would be taken for their purposes alone, but this is why the product is good to take during the day. **Q: How many lozenges are in this?**
A: There are 120 lozenges in a bottle. I find that one is usually enough to help my anxiety. I have taken up to two at a time when it has been really bad. I highly recommend these and will continue to buy more.

**Q: Are they vegan?**
A: No, this product is not suitable for vegetarians or vegans.

**Q: Is this gmo free?**
A: It does not state gmo free but there is no wheat, gluten or soy and there is not anything listed in the ingredients in which I would suspect GMO. BTW, this supplement works for me as well as Xanax without any side effects. Sometimes it will make me a little sleepy if I take a whole one during the day but I am unusually sensitive to meds. I wish it didn’t have mannitol in it because that usually bothers my gut but I have taken as many as 2 in one day with no gut (gas) issues. Some reviewers state they hate the taste but I don’t find the taste bad at all. Hope this helps!

**Q: What source of peppermint is in this; oil, herb or? And, how much of it?**
A: My guess is oil, though it should say on the label. It s not too strong

So the flavor isn't great, but this actually works for me. I'm having such a productive two days since using this. I plan to have my doctor review as well, but finally! History: After losing over a hundred pounds, being very active, and having life stresses, my adhd has been off the charts! The constant thoughts, unable to concentrate, constant chaos in my head and actions. I can't take any of the prescriptions due to my current required medication list. So this natural alternative is a blessing. I've tried a few others on here, and cbd. This helps me by slowing down my brain just enough to complete tasks without hyperfocusing on the current tasks or forgetting other tasks.
