The metal edging was thinner than expected, therefore, nicks were visible as well as partial creases. The metal strip length along the inside edge: by design or otherwise was not long enough and a bit askew in its attachment. The (clear poly) seemed sturdy and well marked (however only accurate if the metal edge is without flaw). Further, the product looked as though it had several areas of glue on it and a few areas that were indicative of impact marks. Imagining this could have been "the Lemon that slipped through". An exchange was desired. The option of accurate measure and easy application of "layers" was a specific goal. Especially after seeing the video of product function and use on You Tube. However, this was not an option for this product as the price had increased from the time of the original purchase order. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Kool Tak Layer Plus Tool- useful but……. *by D***K on April 29, 2020* The “steel reinforced edges” are extremely sharp and is slightly short. It does not cover the entire ruler edges, from end to end. On one end, the steel strip was not attached for approximately one inch and it appears some kind of double stick adhesive is being used to hold the steel strip down, which is not strong enough to keep it attached.
