The concern that one may hear about magnesium oxide is that it can cause adverse side effects, but this is only at large amounts such as over 1,000mg per day. But, sometimes people may want the "side effects" for their own situation such as constipation, as that can help them go #2. Anything taken in excess will cause side effects, even magnesium malate, glycinate & citrate, and we don't advise taking anything in excess for anybody. Our product only has 125mg per capsule. Well under any concerned amount. You'll be able to see the benefits people mention in the reviews. If you want a different magnesium we do offer our Magnesium Complex with a combination of oxide and citrate. Also, one may hear that magnesium oxide is less "bioavailable" than other magnesiums.
