You can also get "Colgate Optic White Renewal" which has a higher amount of of peroxide. (There are several kinds of Colgate Optic white, some are extremely abrasive and don't use peroxide for the whitening) I think Optic White Pro Series has a larger concentration of peroxide but the higher percentage can make sensitive teeth more painful. **Q: Have they changed the purple label recently?** A: I agree with you DebKay. I have switched to Sensodyne since they changed the formula to and extra abrasives for whitening. or Arm & Hammer sensitive which is from the same company but only uses baking soda for the whitening, which is gentle and also reduces acids in the mouth. Both use Potassium Nitrate for sensitivity. And of course has some form of fluoride to protect the teeth. **Q: How does this compare to sensodyne rapid relief?** A: Potassium nitrate is what does it for me (for sensitivity). Stannuous fluoride doesn't work very well. And this has same amount as sensodyne. I notice a big difference if I use either during normal twice a day routine. A "quick fix' would also be letting some sit in problem areas for 5 minutes or so.
