The lid has a plastic handle so it does not get hot or rattle. When it starts boiling the holes let out a bunch of steam letting you know. You can also make rice or pasta real easy with those holes. The size is also perfect. I just wish the handles stayed in place, like the snow peak mug. I love the weight of only 5oz. I plan to use this to do my rice and hot water and get a snow peak to cook my food, this way if I burn my food on the bottom, I can easy ditch it and clean up later. It comes with top and mesh bag to hold both in. The handles on mine fly all over the place, they do not fold nicely. Need to change the lip/rim of the cup so that its not bent over, creating a space for bacteria and dirt. Instead, I would have it be a rounded edge. I would also make sure the handles folded securely, idk how to ensure this however. Lastly, mine arrived with stains on the inside and fingerprints (like half a hand print). I did a quick rinse and most of it came out. Im sure the rest will later. It fits loosely around the nalgene 32 oz. there is about 2-2.5 millimeters of space between the bottle and cup. Im going to wrap my bottle in duct tape to make it a bit more secure. Best cup on the market but I hope they do change the lip/rim.UPDATE:I have used the pot 2 times, the handles have come out already and I can't get them back in. pot is an expensive titanium POS. Better off buying the equivalent by Esbit or Snow peak.
