We developed the Negg in the United States and built the injection mold in the USA. We applied for our patent in May 2015. We are still patent pending. We shouldered the costs from design, manufacturing, marketing to advertising and promotion. The Chinese have made a cheap counterfeit (through reverse engineering) of the Negg, and are now riding on the benefits of our hard work, right down to the photography, and videos. They’ve scraped everything. Not sure what materials they are using for manufacturing. Only know we get the complaints. It is very unfair. Apparently their goal is to run us out of business so that they can then sell at the higher price. I hope my fellow citizens will see this for what it is. We’re not the first nor sadly will we be the last. Our patent should come due momentarily at which point we can close the door on these crooks. Been using a Tupperware bowl with seal, for years! Be sure the eggs are cool, add some water, seal with lid, shake VIGEROUSLY 10 to 15 times. I do 5 to 6 cooled eggs at a time! **Q: Does this work for soft boiled eggs?** A: I wouldn't use it for soft boiled eggs. Usually we peel just the top of the egg and leave the bottom in the shell. That's how my grandma always served soft boiled eggs. If you shake too hard you could possibly get the yolk to leak. It took me about a dozen eggs to figure out the right way to shake them. Now I wouldn't be without the Negg. It would be interesting to try it on a soft boiled egg. If I do I will update this reply. **Q: Does the Negg work on eggs that have been cooked 3or 4 days earlier and refridgerated** A: Robert, YES! the NEGG will peel eggs that you have in the refrigerator. As a matter of fact, I peeled a few just this morning that had been in the fridge for a few days.
