It has a low stretch, good knot retention and is resistant to oils, rot, mildew and most chemicals. This item comes in assorted colors. Review: Long-lasting rope. - This is a notably long-lasting rope. I used it to tie up my bed on my dad's truck's roof and the bed stayed in place, even when I took it onto the highway and was doing 60mph it stayed in one place. Before all of that, when I received this rope I was somewhat concerned and also nervous. I figured the rope looked too thin, and also may be too small. I thought to myself, this rope would either cut while driving, or come loose, but after tying it up properly I moved down the road very cautiously with my left hand on the bed. Before getting onto the turnpike, I made sure to stop the truck, get out, and check to see if everything was still in place, and it was. That gave me the confidence to get onto the turnpike and drive. An excellent rope to have with a great price, and quite frankly a bargain. Review: All round durable rope useful for many tasks - I purchased this rope a while ago and delayed writing a review. I wanted to put it through it's paces first. A man always has a use for good rope, and finding something for different tasks is important. Originally, I wanted to use it to help trim some high branches from couple trees. It worked well, did not tangle up when throwing it, with a weighted bag on the end, into trees to pull up a high limb saw or pull down branches. It was easy to use, did not stretch, break, fray or any other problems. I have also used it to tie down varied loads on pickup truck and it does the job well. But the final task was to spend the winter outside on a tarp shelter I place over a big fig tree. The challenge is my Kodoka fig tree will have all branches die if they are exposed to temps below 10 degrees for any sustained period. The tree will grow back from root, but no figs as they only produce on mature wood from prior season. Thus, I put up a light restraining fence around the tree, pack it with leaves from fall collection (friends give me the bags of leaves) and then tie a tarp over the whole thing. It takes a lot of rope to make sure the whole contraption stays in place, protects the tree, does not have tarp flapping and tearing lose over the winter. I used this rope for the job. First, installation was easy as the rope is small enough to easily pass through the tarp grommets. It does stretch but not more then expected and it holds the whole thing in place well in very high winds. This year we had winds up to 70 MPH at times for three days. The tarp and rope got a real workout and not a single problem. I'll be removing it all, dragging the leaves off to a compost pile for garden this week. Inspecting the rope today shows it certainly has at least another year of usage including next winter outdoors. After spending several frustrating hours in the woods I have to disagree. The rope is too thin and flimsy. It curls and wraps itself around every little twig, stick, and leaf in sight. It's also hard to gather into nice big loops without it getting tangled in itself.
