After dinner, out would come a bowl of mixed nuts and half a dozen silver colored nutcrackers, chestnuts that we'd score with knives and then roast, and these special treats. They were a tradition that my sister particularly enjoyed, and I try to get them for her every Christmas. Over the years they've become more challenging to locate, so I was excited to find them on Amazon - especially since I can have them shipped directly to my sister's home three states away! Two almond liqueur flavored cookies are wrapped "back to back" in each a pastel colored wrapper. They are light and crunchy, sweet and delicious. We loved them with milk when we were children, and now that we're older we think they pair even better with coffee.
