It's small enough to hide under my shirts, clipped on the waistband of my pants. It seems to keep track of steps fairly well, tho not maybe 100%. I will say that I found it didn't work very well when inside my pocket. I thought another reviewer said it did work well there which is one of the reasons I bought this one. But for what I paid, it does the trick just fine for me. All I needed was something to give me a good idea of how many steps I take in a day. Not looking to be completely exact/precise.
