You can just have this sitting on a desk. The base is wide enough to hold the device up even with all the wires plugged in. The stand is fairly sturdy as well as the movement mechanics. The LED lights to show standby and power are not bright where they will be super distracting.The picture quality I would say is 1080p and transmitting quality is going to be dependent on your internet speed.
