Used it to level strapping that I needed to put on 100 yr old rough cut joists. Ceiling came out perfectly level. I recommend buying a Johnson level adjustable elevating tripod with it. They compliment each other nicely. The only con I had is that I wish I could power it on with the remote and when the battery display reads 50% it dies. The magnet bottom is not very strong (I dropped it and bent one of the feet of the base on the first use), but if you use it carefully it will render good results. I was able to easily identify how much floor angle I have in my old house using this tool. The laser is strong, bright, and projects far.
