Factory surface is too glossy and shows every time the screen is touched regardless of how clean your fingers. Plastic guide makes installation extremely easy. Alignment was perfect and there were no specks of dust under the film. This product gives me piece of mind knowing that the expensive screen is protected. I recently installed a screen protector on a new Toyota from a different manufacturer. It did not install nearly as well and quality of the product was nowhere as great as this one. This glass product is far better than plastic film used by other manufacturers. Buy it.
