You might put the screw in a clamp and turn the ball. good luck **Q: What size is the screw** A: I would say the screw is approximately a large thread 1/4 inch thick screw-- comes out of the top about an inch and a half... that is approximate... I pre-drilled the post with a slightly smaller drill so as not to split the post... with were the top of a 2 x 4... I painted mine light yellow for the fence in a tomato patch... they look great... **Q: What are its dimensions???** A: Hight is 5 3/8 inch. Width of base is 2 3/4. Width of ball is 3 inches.
