I have a massive server taking care of my recordings and media library. No need to have other clients be power hungry. However the issue is the smaller builds cost more... Until I found this mobo/CPU combo. This processor alone is priced at $75 from Intel so I have no clue how ecs/amazon sell it for $66! It easily allows me to watch full HD TV on WMC coming from a Homerun prime and any movie file I have to throw at it. Even better it handles full HD video from Netflix unlike atom processors. Netflix will get 30 to 40% CPU usage everything else is way lower. Also it runs quiet and cool. My first build is in my bedroom and you can't hear a thing. I already have a second one and will be buying more once they are available.EDIT: I was coming back to buy another but the price went up for some unknown reason.... considering newer better boards are coming out in the next month. Go to NewEgg they have it for $69. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for HTPC Budget Build *by P***N on Reviewed in the United States on December 22, 2013* I bought this to recycle a 12 year Dell Desktop in to a dedicated OpenELEC(XBMC) HTPC. My previous HTPC was an AMD E-350 APU powered unit which did fine with everything but 1080 TV/DVR duties from the network connected HDHomeRun using tvheadend. The Celeron 1037U doesn't disappoint on 1080 TV/DVR duties.One cautionary note. My HTPC is a bit noisy and I wouldn't be happy if it was living where the TV is. I keep mine in a storage room and have a 25 foot HDMI cable routed in the walls to the TV. I bought a 400W Coolmax PS to install in case.(overkill I know but $5 for a new PS I couldn't resist.) I don't know whether the excessive noise is coming from the power supply cooling fan or CPU cooling fan.I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for XBMC *by M***R on Reviewed in the United States on May 3, 2014* This is my second board that I've purchased and love it. I'm using it as a XBMC frontend for both Live TV and prerecorded programs and it handles 1080p video flawlessly, only slight lag when opening a menu with the video playing. The fan is silent and runs very cool even under the heaviest load.Note this version uses 204-pin laptop-style memory, there is another version with the same processor that uses traditional desktop memory.
