I really can't see how sturdy these are yet. So far, they're well-built, quite good, and useful.  I use one regularly to scramble eggs in a cast iron skillet. I used one to fluff my cooked rice. A spurtle works great in either use case. I am planning to buy some food grade mineral oil as the package insert suggests so they last longer, but they're easy to use and easy to clean so far.

Love the spurtles!  I bought a set for each of my three daughters and my sister.  Wood is solid and smooth.  Random colouring is lovely.  I did have to return one set that had a crack in the wood.That set I had purchased directly from the As Seen On TV website,  but the return went smoothly and I got another set.  These are great cooking/baking tools. The design is based on the Scottish porridge spoon used back in the 1500's.  A nice nod to my Scottish heritage.  🙂
