He is constantly pulling at it, but I think that is just because of his age. My 2 year old and 5 year old, on the other hand, love using this. The Velcro is strong and catches/pulls hair easily, so now I wet my daughter's long hair first, seal the Velcro down around her neck (being careful to line it up perfectly so no hair will catch), and then slide it up over her ears and hairline. It's tight and she complains a little as I tug it up over her ears, but that's way better than snagging on hair. I also then reverse this process for removing it or just pull it up and off.
