The FR-6 fits 32mm four-notch tool fittings found on some BMX & single-speed freewheels . Thin wall construction allows use without removal of cones and locknuts. The 1" hexagonal base can be used in conjunction with a socket, wrench, or bench vise. Heat treated alloy tool steel construction for a lifetime of use. The FR-6 has four notches approximately 32mm across measured inside to inside and 40mm outside-to-outside. Center bore for axle clearance is 16mm . PARK TOOL: YOUR GUIDE TO THE WORLD OF CASSETTES & FREEWHEELS CASSETTE OR FREEWHEEL? To determine the type of rear sprocket system you have, find the tool fitting on the sprocket set. Spin the sprockets backwards. If the fitting spins with the cogs, it is a cassette system. If the tool fitting does not spin with the cogs, it is a freewheel system. COUNT THE NOTCHES To determine the type of freewheel tool needed, count the number of splines or notches and measure the outside diameter in the tool fitting. If there are 4 notches and the tool fitting is roughly 40mm across, the FR-6 is the correct tool.
