Review: It cuts like butter! - I used these in two different applications. The traditional flat style easily removed grout from between tiles, prior to demolition - and did a great job. I used the tomahawk style to cut some HardieBacker - and although it required multiple passes - it gave a nice clean cut. Overall - no complaints - both blade styles worked like a charm!
Review: Did the trick - I'm removing old grout from the floor of a tiled shower. 4'x7' with 1" tiles, so tons of grout to remove. Too big of a job for this blade, but I used an angle grinder for the vast majority. This tool attached to my Makita oscillator was perfect for getting the last inch or so against the walls where I couldn't reach with the circular blade without damaging the wall tiles. Made quick work of the grout, but the blades are thin so you have to use care not to put too much pressure on the tool while cutting. Let the tool and the blade do the work. One blade bent while i was using it, but I was able to straighten it out and continue using it. All in all I cut about 30' of grout in 1.5" increments around the perimeter of the shower. First blade dulled. Switched to the second to finish up. Still some life in the second blade. I used the rectangular blades for short runs and the arc blade for longer runs. Do not was your time on the carbide blades. Bought one at the warehouse store for twice as much as this pack of 4 and it lasted 5 minutes. good luck with your project

A: They will, but it would be a very slow process and would probably wear out the blades. You'd be much better off with a tile saw or a crosscut saw equipped with a tile cutting blade.

**Q: What keeps this from accidentally cutting the surface under the tile during grout removal?**
A: I don't believe that anything but a strong steady hand prevents the abrasive from marking the underside of the tile or the substrate under the tile but since I assume you will be replacing the tile with new grout that should fill in any gouges.
