**Q: Where is this made?**
A: It is made in Taiwan, according to the packaging.

**Q: What is the difference between this item (helmetlok 4101) and the helmetlok II that is also advertised on amazon.  are they the same item?**
A: I honestly don't know what the difference is, but I purchased the 4101 and within 4 months had to cut it off my bike as it "locked" up and wouldn't open.  Rode home without the helmet as it was locked to the bike.  I tried for about 20 minutes at home to open it. No luck. I thought with the flimsy hinge it would be easy to cut off, but it took a bit of time with my hacksaw to cut it off, so it at least seems to delay theft well.

**Q: How do you set your 3 digit code**
A: It comes with instructions but if I remember correctly there is a pin on the side of it that you pull out when you're setting the code

**Q: this model does not come with the separate piece for schberth helmets does it? (t shaped chrome piece that fits on the lock.)**
A: The product I received is the lock and instructions. There is no separate piece. There is a cable you can buy separately for the lock.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Get one if you need to lock your helmet

hangs on my mirror while riding (no storage on my bike) and doesn't get in the way. Lock it to my foot brake when parked. Works great. Just don't forget the combo. Mine is 1000 to make it easy to remember. Like anyone is going to sit there and guess at the combo anyway. It's no match for bolt cutters, but who is going to do that? In my application, one cannot even tell that the helmet is locked. If someone tries to grab it off of the brake pedal, they will be surprised when they can't take it with them. Then, they better hope I don't see them. :-)

Great inexpensive lock designed to keep your lid with your bike. I like the ability to set your own combination so you never have to worry about a memory lapse. The dials can be a bit of a pain to rotate but that's not a huge problem. The Helmtlok 4101 feels like a temporary while you are out solution while you are commuting, visiting or shopping. This lock is not a permanent solution for long term storage and shouldn't be viewed as such. I don't believe this lock is intended to be left on the bike with the helmet in situations where there is not normal foot traffic and/or security. The materials feel solid enough to provide convenience and a peace of mind but will not hold up to a well equipped determined thief. Don't leave your bike and helmet in a place where a thief will be shielded from view while tooling your lid off your bike.

This item is quality made and is very convenient to use in securing your helmet to the bike. Add the ("Helmetlok") cable, and you have a great security system fro not just your helmet, but your jacket (running cable through the sleeve) also. And, very easy to store with minimum space. The seller sent this item in minimum time and it was well-wrapped to ensure no damage.
