Installation was straight forward, but please have a professional do this if you are not one. A wrong or careless move could kill you. - I drilled a hole through the side of my panel to pull through the sensor leads and grounding wire. - Once those were connected, I sealed the hole with silicone. - The included mounting tape was not thick enough to hold, so I used some better stuff I had on-hand. - The device can slide up off the mount plate to facilitate replacing the AAA batteries. I modified this device to work for my scenario: - This is not an "outdoor rated" constructed device, so who knows how long it will last if your breaker panel is outside of your house like mine is. - The siren is small, but loud. Since I installed this outside, I don't want it waking the neighbors if power is restored in the middle of the night. - I removed the siren and replaced it with a bright LED that I could see from my kitchen window.
