Would highly recommend Review: Comfortable & warm with good grip - This review is after using the boots for a few weeks. SIZE. I'm a 5.5 UK and purchased both 5 & 6. The 5 was sufficient. It did feel a little tight for the first few minutes but I think that I'm just used to boots being too big. These are a snug but not tight fit even with leggings and thick socks. I'd say I'm a very average size, not particularly big on the calf and these are a tight fit for me there. They work well with leggings but are a tiny bit tight on the calf with thicker trousers, just at the rim. COMFORT. These are my 2nd pair of Muck Boots. The first pair lasted 2 years but I wear most days in winter for dog walking. This model, Arctic Sport II, are more comfortable and coxy and have a great grip for muddy, slippery paths. They are by far my favourite and most comfortable wellies to date. Good for walking up steep muddy fields, slippery wet grass.
