The size of this is good for us for small vegetables cutting and chopping. We already have carving and cutting boards for different meats, fishes, etc. The quality is durable for our needs, made of bamboo which feels hard and dense, similar to a small tough chopping block. It's what we wanted, good for the price and our needs. No wooden chopping or carving block or board will ever be immune to ending up getting scarred or have knife marks, but with a really sharp knife, and good quality ripe veg', there shouldn't be any need to have to end up forcing a knife through the veg' and into the board ! It should have a good long life ! And if not - provided it's still at a great discount through desertcart - we'll just buy another if the time ever came !
