It adds the right amount of size/height to the jukebox and really makes it stand out. The jukebox seems much smaller without it. The drawer is not secured in the base (or the box) and it slid right out while we were unboxing the base, crashed into our hardwood floor and took appreciable damage to the top left corner. I would also like to add the turntable was engineered Arkrocket to deliver very little bass sound when turntable is in operation. Bluetooth and CD play with a better bass sound.
