Yes, it does look nice, and it really seems like it should do the job. But it doesn't. Knowing from the reviews that it would take time for the whites to separate from the yolks, I started the process while I was putting away the dishes to give it a few minutes. So the photo I've taken is after a few minutes of waiting. And shaking. And trying to press a spoon in the coils to try to separate them more to let the egg whites through. But that last bit of egg white wasn't going anywhere. This might not be a problem if I needed the egg whites (though it would be a little wasteful), but I need the egg yolks only. I ended up trying to use a knife to get the rest of the whites off and, when that didn't work, having to use my fingers which... EWWWWW. So this is a waste of money, though a nice idea. Back to using the egg shells. That said, this review is still true)It's a beautiful pice of hardware but you're better off using egg shells.It takes a long time for the egg white to separate from the yolk using this tool. I bought and tried 2 other tools for separating yolks at the same time. They fared no better.
