It’s not working for me..** A: Make sure the yellow rubber tab / valve in the middle of the lid is seated down and sealed and make sure the lid seal around the edge of the lid is in full contact with the inside of the container and pushed all the way down then put the pump over the rubber tab on the lid and pump it to suck the air out. if it doesnt work then either the lid seals or tab or the pump itself may be defective. **Q: what kind of plastic does this use? This worked great and is a quick easy way to vacuum seal anything you want to place in this container. This is more square vs. a cylinder and is like a 20oz tall container. The top seals great. Easy to clean. Not sure why some other person had mold, but you can easily take out the rubber seals, wash them, dry and reassemble. If you have mold, you need to wash your stuff better. There are no issues if you simply take the time. Also, getting the seals back into place are easy. If you are in a hurry, yeah, maybe you will not have them set right. I have had zero problems.
