So I am warning potential buyers the odds of wasting ~$300 is pretty high. ****UPDATE 08/03/2024**** I just received a return label and a very sincere apology from this vendor for the trouble we experienced. They promised a full refund upon return of the defective unit. A great way to close out this transaction. Upgraded rating from 1 to 3 stars because they are backing they're product. To play blue rays you must have an HD tv with USB ports and usb cable. I haven't try playing a cd. It is not a good unit, instructions are copied from original. I wouldn't buy again. **Q: Is it compatible with my car android player with usb ?** A: The player has HDMI and composite (RCA) NTSC video out , if you car Android player has either of those inputs it will work **Q: does this unit have optical input** A: No this unit does not have any inputs, it is not a recorder so doesn't need inputs. Have 2 AV outputs, 1 coaxial output and 1 HDMI output. The quality is good, and with just a little plastic cover case we have it tucked in there nice and clean and out of the way, hidden in a cupboard. The only thing we ran into, and this isn't necessarily the fault of the player, but when we would plug the camper into shore power it would blow the fuse from a voltage spike. ...hence the significantly over-engineered relay that disconnects the player in the event of power interruption. But this only happens for a quick instant when first connecting to power.
