Not certain about durability as it is brand new, but I'm sure it will last a decent amount of time unless you're going out of your way to beat the thing up. A plus is that the outside is made out of a material that can handle stickers without any residue being left when removed.Saw many people mentioning that it smelt of cigarettes. Not sure what they were talking about, so I must've gotten lucky. Doesn't have a very noticeable scent of anything unless you're shoving your face against it to smell it, and even then, it isn't of cigarettes.The only downside to the carrying case is the slots for cartridges are not the correct size, so you cannot fit games into every slot without a struggle.
