EDIT: 7/14/18 - Still enjoying the LevelMate Pro Pro for ease of leveling. The thing that bothers me is the battery situation. Every trip we take after the RV has been in storage awhile...the battery is dead and I have to change it. Not overly convenient in that I installed this in a closet and 4 tiny screws have to be removed. It helps keeping the appropriate screwdriver and stock of CR2032 batteries. I believe the new models have since addressed this. An on/off switch would be very nice to ensure the bluetooth doesn’t broadcast when not needed. Yet elsewhere it suggests keeping the slideouts in. Are the slideouts supposed to be retract?** A: Pretty simple process. Step 1) level the trailer with the slide(s) out just like you normally do. Step 2) bring the slide(s) in Step 3) install and calibrate this as level. I mounted it on the wall across from my kitchen in my travel trailer, and that wall happens to be covered by the inside wall of the slide so with the slide in, I have a little trouble getting connection inside the truck, my trailer is 31 feet overall length so that distance is just a small bit too far, but that is fixable by mounting it in a location that doesn't have as many surfaces to travel through, because standing at the hitch, it connects perfectly, and being able to see level at the hitch jack is soooo much easier, especially if I'm setting up without anyone assisting me. That also means if I do have someone with me, they can be setting up other things instead of 2 people having to be tied to one task for that time. Setup is pretty simple as well. You first of course need to level the trailer manually, and definitely want to be sure that it is perfectly level, by doing so then when you zero out the leveling module, it will give you the most level setup every time after that. When I first used it, I didn't pay attention to how the arrow is indicating whether the trailer is high or low, I was adjusting in the opposite direction, so just need to be sure to read the instructions for how to read the arrow because that was one frustrating night arriving late at literally midnight and trying to level a trailer in the pitch dark and being tired, lol.
