But it's actually really good for audio too. <20pF and 0.024 ohms per foot is amazing at this price point, I have other budget cables in excess of 80pF per foot. It's close to my Oehlbach at 16pF/ft! $16 for 35ft of high quality interconnect? It's a good source of cable to cut up and make your own shorter interconnects! Only down side is how consistent is the source manufacturing of the cable, is there any significant variance between batches. If it were copper clad, it would be copper clad aluminum, not steel. But it isn’t. It’s just copper. I’ve cut a dozen of these up and they have copper, NOT CCA. Ignore the doofus’. **Q: A stupid question: how long will I need to be a sub-woofer cable before it loses signal?** A: Wrong. A standard non-powered HDMI can only go up to about 49 feet. If it is powered using some sort of amplification device such as a booster or whatever you want to call it, it can reach lengths up to 980 feet of you use a powered fiber optic extender. Standard range non-powered is only 49’. So any manufacturer that says they have 100’ hdmi cables, be careful as it will have degradation. **Q: Will this work for a 5.1 ss system? have a powered sub-woofer with speaker cable to two satellite speakers. broken pin in one, no sound.** A: I don't know what the 'ss' means, but this is a two-lead RCA connector coax (ie shielded) cable with Au plated connectors. Works great for me.
