Progressive Fighting Systems is an international organization founded by world renown hand to hand combat instructor Paul Vunak. This DVD features one of Paul Vunak's full instructors Hector Solis. Hector has been training and teaching martial arts since 1993. He is a Second Degree Black Belt in Shorin-ryu karate and has studied a variery of styles over the years such as: Jeet Kune Do Concepts, Muay Thay, Kali, Jui-jitsu, and others. The DVD covers Basic Training focused of Self-preservation with emphasis on stand up (Rapid Assault Tactics), knife tactics, and stick tactics. This material is required for the level of Phase One Instructorship as taught by Hector Solis.

I have been a student at this school for nearly 7 years, and it has been a great experience. This DVD is a valuable source of information for self-defense. Time and time again, I have used this DVD to help prepare for tests, polish up on techniques, and review moves i might have trouble with. Each step of each technique featured on this disk is clearly explained and demonstrated in ways that are easy to understand.  For anyone looking to learn about self-defense, the content in this DVD will surely help. I would highly recommend this, which easily deserves 5 out of 5 stars.

I have been training at the American Martial Arts Institute for quite a while now, and am soon testing for black belt. This DVD has helped me in many ways and truly is specific to each movement that is shown. The self-defense involved in this DVD surely will help people if watched closely and could help anyone in an attack scenario. I highly recommend this instructional DVD to everyone who desires to protect themselves in a very forceful and efficient way. I give this DVD a 5 out of 5 stars.
