**Q: do you need the wasp trap attractant for the the trap to work**
A: Not at all, I use a mixture made of unbranded / cheapest beer tins you can find with cheap lemonade or any other sweet pop (i.e. not the zero sugar pop). Works very well, very effective, I catch lots of wasps and flies, so much so that this year I bought another one to hang the other side of the property! It is also very well made I found. Can't understand the people reviews claiming the unit is badly made or it doesn't work!

Put out a bit late after much of fruit on trees already "attacked" by wasps.  But seemed to collect (and kill) lots and only wasps as well (no butterflies of other bugs).
