The author seems primarily motivated by saving money, not any of the other benefits of the lifestyle that she briefly mentions.Instead of talking about how the author has achieved certain minimalist goals, the book also had an odd impersonal tone on how "minimalists do this" or "a mimimalist would do that" and you should do that too. It made me wonder whether the author had actually tried any of her suggestions...For having "Zero Waste" in the title, it really didn't have much on that at all! I would definitely not waste your money on this and would instead direct you towards books on true Zero Waste, specifically Zero Waste Home by Bea Johnson, as I found that one much more informative and inspirational for a fully integrated, minimalist lifestyle.Also the fact that the author/publisher is packaging this book with a credit card offer is ridiculous! Minimalism is about paring down to the bare essentials and recognizing what's truly important in life: experiences and relationships, NOT stuff. Part of that is opting out of consumerist culture and not buying into advertising gimics or supposedly "Free" stuff. Just absolutely ridiculous. There are also plugs in the middle of the text asking for positive reviews on the book ....Deleted this as soon as I finished it. ### ⭐⭐⭐ This book had clear writing, was well organized and great principles but it was very very basic. *by J***N on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on June 10, 2018* I was hoping it was going to devle into the zero waste aspect more, but it was treated as a side effect of minimalism instead. Which it is, but I thought it would go into it more.
