Review: Teflon Do'n - Do know that this is a great looking faucet that gives a sink more clearance for pots and pans than similar priced options, but this needs a little more thought and preparation prior to installation than some others. The 1 1/2" brass threaded connection under the faucet (the part that goes through the counter top) comes unassembled from the faucet itself. I am a long time plumber and have never seen this before. Which I should have taken pictures of, but didn't. I installed it twice because the 1st time it was completely secure, but loosened easily which wasn't ok. I needed to take it back apart and Teflon tape the 1 1/2"riser that secures to the base and tighten it 100% with a heavy grip. I also Teflon taped the screw on base plate at the threads to make it harder to loosen by hand. After doing this the installation was a success. It matched beautifully with the RO faucet next to it that went in easily. Happy Wife Happy Life! Flows very well. I did use a weight from the previous faucet due to its smaller size. For the price it is great
