This is not a step by step how-to guide for beginners. Those who are looking for such a work will be best served by watching YouTube videos.BUT, this IS an excellent treatment of the subject and covers several types of metal in a fair degree of detail. Well worth purchasing if you plan to work in this medium.

This book has information not found elsewhere.  There is a chart that tells you what AMPs are needed to use with different metals that i havent seen elsewhere.so you will know how to set your rectifier.  While there are not a lot of pictures taking you thru the different steps, that i focan be seen on YouTube. She tellsyou what toadd to the solutionso you don’t get bubbles andso much moreNot really for a beginner that has no experience in making jewelry.  I am so happy i found this book.I bought the other book for beginers in electroforming and found it lacking in so many ways.  This one fills the voids.

This is a great resource for electroforming theory and practice. It is written for a British audience. The supplies and materials referenced use British tradenames and sources of supply.  Complete newcomers to the subject of electrolytic forming may be better served by a more basic text, e.g.  in electroplating. Acid copper (sulfuric acid) and acid silver (cyanide) solutions present serious impediments to casual or home use. This is a workshop or production studio manual of excellent quality with 2 pages devoted to health and safety - if you aren't comfortable with toxic chemical and acid procedures buy this book later, but do buy it.
