**Q: Can you wash and reuse these filters?  They seem quite durable.**
A: Yes, we rinsed ours with a weak hydrogen peroxide wash because we were filtering super silty river water that was laden with bacteria. Hope that helps!

**Q: The description says its made from felt. But the intro says polypropylene. Whats up with that?**
A: The material is called "Polypropylene Felt".   
Here is the information from the manufacturer spec sheet:

BP Series (Polypropylene Felt)
- Filtration ratings from 1 to 200 microns to comply with any filtration requirement
- Manufactured from felt due to its high solids loading capabilities versus similar mesh fabrics
- The media is created by needle-punching two layers of synthetic fibers together in a supporting scrim
- A glazed finish, created by melting the outermost surface fibers, is used to product a bond that reduces the possibility of migration
