It is quite heavy considering it's size. I used it to make hamburger jerky in the oven and it worked really well. All the trays, except the bottom one, have little holes all over the bottom so I just set the jerky in them to dry. It comes with a screen rack for each tray except the bottom one. I discovered that two screen racks fit just right in a standard cookie sheet so I was able to dry even more jerky on those by placing it on the bottom oven rack. The screens have a close enough pattern that the jerky didn't fall through even though it was made of hamburger. I used the mat thing a couple times by setting it directly on my oven rack and it worked well and washed up nicely afterwards. The other trays did loose some of their shininess after use and washing but they might polish back up if I used baking soda or something to polish them. I'm not really concerned about that as they still work really well. The rack the trays slide into is pretty solid. I think this is something that should last for years and years of use. It reminds me of something my grandma would of had back in the 60's as it seems to be built to last as opposed to most things you buy these days that is only built to be soon replaced. I definitely would recommend this to a friend. ### ⭐⭐ 2.0 out of 5 stars Great idea poor execution. *by D***O on Reviewed in the United States on November 10, 2019* I had high hopes for this system. I do a lot of cooking on my Rec Tec pellet grill. I had read all the reviews and finally place my order for the BR4 Ultimate Package. It is a 4 tray system with mesh inserts and a 5th solid drip tray for the bottom. When I finally got it I put it together and began trying to insert the trays into the slots of the rack. I had to force the trays into the slots when the grates were installed. The rack space between each tray was too small for the empty trays to fit into with the grates. I took out the grates and I was still having trouble getting them to fit into the slots. This is a problem. The way the system is designed you can only use 2 maybe 3 trays with the grate system, because you have to skip a rack space to slide trays under each other. And if you are cooking anything thicker then bacon or jerky then you will be limited to probably 2 trays which is a waste of considering how much I paid for the 4 tray system. I had planned on using this to smoke/ roast veggies. To me it wasn't worth the investment. If they added 3/8 to 1/2 inch more space between each rack slot it would be perfection. The welds are solid. It's a simple design but great quality and construction. I really wanted to like this system, but the design needs some revamping. If you plan on buying this for anything other then very thinly cut food, you will most likely have to leave out 2 trays. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Christmas Gift *by C***E on Reviewed in the United States on December 21, 2020* Bought this for a family member for Christmas. If the weight of the product is any indication of the quality, then before it is opened, I would say this is an excellent product. Will update after Christmas.
