The Kai's, and other professional shears like them, are designed for all day cutting. Your fatigue won't be worse that's for sure but another element is proper cutting form. Most people, even those who have sewn all their lives, do not know how to use scissors ergonomically. It is nigh impossible to explain in words but succinctly, your hand should never bear the weight of the scissor; the tips and or bottom blade, should always be resting on the table while you cut. If you're cutting "in the air", your hands will tire much faster than if you did it this other way. I cut patterns by hand for 8 hours a day for about 25 years and never experienced problems at the end of the day and I was using Wiss 20's which are significantly heavier than Kais. **Q: I want to invest in the 10" Kai professional shears.
