**Q: why do the unwrapped logs smell so bad**
A: Each brand has their own smell. Enviro-Logs smell so nice I wish Febreeze made a can of it, then there's Signature Home Natural Firelogs, which smell like decaying bananas.

**Q: Will this make my house smell forever afyer using?**
A: No. However, a couple of years ago they used to burn much more efficiently. They now require much more prodding with a fire poker as they now tend to burn down to a pile of paper that needs kindling to re-ignite. The after smoking is quite minimal.

**Q: Can i use these in my gas fireplace as long as i dont turn on the gas and just light it with a lighter?**
A: That is how I've been using them. My fireplace is a gas fireplace, but since it's an older home (built in the 50's) I've been afraid to use it with the gas, and the chimney not having been cleaned in who knows how long, has been a real worry for me.  Since these types of logs burn clean, and are safer for your chimney, i thought I'd give them a try.  Here we are 2 years later, and this is all I will use in my fireplace (as well as other brands offered on Amazon and Lowe's), if i'm wanting a fire for ambiance, or for warmth.  I have not had any issues.  Hope this helps!

**Q: How many logs are included in this $16.90 price?**
A: If it is the same as I bought last year there is one log. I thought it was a case of six and a great deal. Imagine my disappointment when I received two logs - not two cases two logs!
