We have now used this lectern several times and it functions perfectly for us. It was a bit difficult to initially assemble, but since then we have appreciated how easy it is to move to and from our office closet. It is not a five-star podium. Oklahoma Sound has some fantastic models that are sturdier (and look much heavier). The adjustable top can slip down if someone leans on it too heavily, but it is definitely sturdy enough for us to use our 10-inch tablet as a writing surface.
