The video says it is throat depth, but it has a picure of 'lock' and 'unlock' etc?** A: You slide it how deep you want it to staple then rotate it to lock it in place. I have had really good luck with these. I buy a lot of them. They have not broken yet, like some cheaper ones. **Q: How smooth are the staple edges on the bottom of the stack of sheets; would they scratch a person or table?** A: It doesn't scratch a person or table the staples come out nice and flat. Only thing I do not like about the stapler is there is a bar for a guard where you put the pages in to be stapled and it does not fit 70 pages the bar needs to be made higher for thickness of paper.
